Loch Lomond and the Trossachs is to become Scotland's first National Park.
The unique scheme was announced yesterday by Scots Secretary Donald Dewar.
The mega bucks park plan will make the area the most protected in Scotland.
A National Park board will conserve the spectacular flora and fauna around the loch and up into the Trossachs.
It will also tighten controls on traffic on the loch in a bid to cut the number of high-speed accidents.
