The dismal weather did not dampen the spirits of more than 450 students who graduated yesterday at the University of Ulster's Coleraine campus.
On this, the second day of ceremonies, awards ranging from certificates to doctorates were given out to students from the Faculties of Humanities and Science.
Two honorary degrees were conferred, on Baroness Shirley Williams and Alderman Samuel Semple.
