We had a visitor at our front door last week. He was welcome, although he did not come in when invited. Indeed, he was very standoffish, and when I spoke to him he ran off. Some hedgehogs can be so rude!
I suppose it must be a plus when hedgehogs come a-visiting, for they tend to be quite secretive. So secretive, I think, that it can be difficult to know whether we have a healthy population of the animal. If you cannot see them, how do you know how they are doing? Our "friendly" local cats love our little birds, love them so much that they eat them. I wonder how ...
