Gardening is accepted as possibly the most therapeutic occupation. It is excellent exercise, soothing in a stressful world and can be enjoyed by young and old, fit or disabled.
Over the past 10 years or so great advances have been made in gardening for the disabled.
The most important was the acceptance that there is no reason why disabled people should not be able to enjoy a full gardening life.
It all comes down to design and making the most of what mobility the gardener has.
