TV Star Selina Scott was said to be "gutted" last night over plans to shelve her chat show after viewing figures slumped to just 6,000.

The blue-eyed blonde, once the sexiest newsreader on the box, will be "rested" by Sky only five months after signing a pounds 1 million contract.

An insider said: "The Selina Scott show is in disarray and Selina is gutted at the decision.

"A major problem has been the budget. Because she's paid so much, there wasn't much left to tempt big stars on to the programme."

Sky 1 are to pull the plug on Prince ...
