Article: TUNISIA - The Bizerte Refinery.

Built in 1962 by Snamprogetti of ENI group, the Bizerte refinery is operated by Societe Tunisienne des Industries de Raffinage (STIR). The plant is operating at more than its 35,000 b/d capacity, with demand for oil products in Tunisia now exceeding 75,000 b/d. The refinery processes crude oil from Belli and other fields.

Products refined at Bizerte include gasoline, gasoil, fuel oil, LPG, NGL, naphtha and paraffin. LPG is also produced at the Gabes gas processing plant.
