Health Minister, Gisela Stuart today welcomed the launch of the new Food Standards Agency, a body which - from today - will provide the public with independent information and advice about food safety and standards.
The Agency is an independent body set up by the Government in response to widespread concern about food safety. It will operate at arms length from Ministers. Its Chairman, Sir John Krebs, has pledged that the public will receive prompt and accurate information and advice on food ...
