Looking to blow wind into its sails, Flanders Corp. recently engaged PaineWebber to evaluate its strategic options, including a possible sale of the company.
Located in St. Petersburg, Fla. and sporting a market cap of $100 million, Flanders is a manufacturer of air-filtration products for residential and commercial use, including high-efficiency particulate air filters.
The Street's reaction to the company's March 21 announcement, issued after the market closed, was somewhat negative as the company fell by about 6% to close at $3.63. At press time, the stock finished trading at $3.44 per share.
