PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local TENDER BOARD recently approved 2 major contracts valued at $305,000,000 for the construction of new gas pipelines in Oman. As a result, OMAN GAS CO. (OCG) is expected to formally award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts some time around mid-April 2000.
One award was let to India-based DODSAL. This contract calls for the installation of a 700 km-long line between Saih Nihayda and Salahah. The cost to complete the project has been pegged at $181,000,000.
