PROJECT OVERVIEW
An Israeli/Turkish joint venture in the making is currently said to be considering the construction of a new potassium sulfate fertilizers plant in Turkey. The partners in the tentative undertaking include the local ALKIM ALKALI KIMYA and Israel-based DEAD SEA WORKS (DSW).
According to the terms of the collaborative agreement under discussion, the partnership is proposing to build a plant with an installed production capacity of 150,000 metric tons per year. Operating plans envision importing potash ore from Israel. In addition, the project would reportedly include factories to enable the manufacture of table salt and gypsum.
