Stained Glass Artist JAMES SCANLON shows his true colors
The word that comes to mind in any description of the work of James Scanlon is "versatile." Fresh from his studies to become a mime artist, the young man gravitated from the performing arts to fine art, whereupon he found his calling in stained glass. Having mastered that colorful craft, he moved on to sculpture and, more recently, to the use of fabric. Yet, regardless of the medium he uses, Scanlon always finds ways to bring inanimate materials to life while keeping them in communion with their environment.
