One of the world's most visited museum attractions, New York City's Hayden Planetarium, has rocketed into the 21st century. Now part of the new $210 million Rose Center for Earth and Space, the "new" Hayden Planetarium resides inside an 87-ft. sphere that seems to float in a 95-ft.-high glass cube.
The top half houses a custom-made Zeiss projector that will take visitors on a 3D tour of the Milky Way.
