MORE than 1,000 mourners turned out yesterday to say goodbye to the tragic teen-ager who touched the hearts of a top Irish rock group.
Cystic fibrosis victim Sylvie Redmond died on New Year's Eve after doctors failed to find a donor for a heart and lung transplant op.
The bubbly 17-year-old was crazy about The Cranberries and their music, and was buried clutching a photograph of lead singer, Dolores O'Riordan.
Dolores was unable to attend the funeral mass at St Mary's in Ballygarrett, Co Wexford.
