Rupert Allason has become the Fred Astaire of the House of Commons - the man who just loves putting on the writs.
And he has become as recognisable at the Law Courts as at Parliament.
One MP said last night: "Some Members of Parliament joke that he leaves a sleeping bag at the Commons.
"That's just in case he has to sleep over and dash out to court to appear in the witness box the next day."
