Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) today announced the launch of a next generation-ready line of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) base stations, with customer trials targeted for the fourth quarter 2000.
Based on an evolution of the Flexent family of products and the Flexent Wideband Radio platform, the Wideband-ready base station is designed to make ANSI-136 voice services available on a cost-effective evolutionary platform that protects operator investment on current generation technology.
