HOUSTON, Feb. 29 /PRNewswire/ --
Reliant Energy Osceola, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Reliant Energy (NYSE: REI), received authorization on Feb. 28, 2000 from the Osceola County (Florida) Commission Board for the conditional use of more than 440 acres of land in Osceola County to construct a 460-megawatt, natural gas-fired power plant near the town of Holopaw.
The vote was 4-to-1 in favor of the Reliant Energy Osceola project.
