The following is a statement of Matthew C. Cordaro, President and CEO of Midwest ISO issued today at the FERC RTO Workshop in Cincinnati, Ohio on 3/1/2000:
"My simple response to the ITSC proposal is that an Interregional Transmission System Coordinator already exists -- it is embodied within the Midwest ISO. Our time and effort are better spent in increasing the size and membership of the Midwest ISO in order to better achieve the goals of Order No. 2000, as opposed to debating the creation of another level of bureaucracy that offers no incremental benefits.
