CLOSTER, N.J.-Krups North America plans to boost its department store and specialty store appeal in the United States by adding personal care and home health care products to its name-brand arsenal.

The move to enter the health care and paramedical markets, as reported last week in HFN, is an attempt to build on the success Krups has had with dental care, according to Marc Navarre, president of Krups NA.

"We are doing well with our toothbrush and dental jet line, both in the United States and worldwide," Navarre said, adding that the company plans to grow its U.S. market share by expanding into niche categories.
