Brazil: The furniture and appliance chain Lojas Colombo acquired 15 stores from the Vanel chain for R$6mil. The stores, located in Sorocaba, State of Sao Paulo, will start being branded Colombo as of April 20, 2000. With the new acquisition, Lojas Colombo now owns 20 branches in the State of Sao Paulo.
