When Colleen and Angus MacLean adopted a 22-month-old baby girl, they were told she probably wouldn't live to see primary school.
For Kate MacLean was one of Britain's 400 "Aids babies" - the children who were infected with the HIV virus, in the womb or at birth, by their mothers.
More than half of such youngsters born since the early 1980s have died.
