Apr. 13--Forget the half-size closets, cramped kitchen cabinets and stackable washer-dryers.
Today's condominium has grown up, branched out and blossomed into a new creature that much more resembles a house.
"Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a fireplace, a video room ... how far do you want to go?" said architect Tom Pegram of Pegram Associates.
The firm is planning a beachfront condominium project with units ranging from 1,100 to 3,200 square feet.
"You're increasing things by about 50 percent in sizes ... focusing on livability," Pegram said.
