OTTAWA -- Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire will leave the Canadian Forces about 15 months before the CF mandatory retirement age of 55.

Dallaire, 53, has been on sick leave since Jan. 24th of this year and will be released in mid-April. Since February 1999, he has spearheaded the effort to redefine the long-term professional training and development requirements of the CF officer corps.
