RANGE ROVER OF NORTH AMERICA ENTERS 1988 ON HIGH NOTE

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Range Rover of North America Inc. today reported that 1987 sales of the prestigious four-wheel-drive vehicle are ahead of schedule and the outlook for 1988 is positive. In a news conference at the opening of the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, Bill Baker, director of corporate communications, reported that approximately 20,200 Range Rovers have been sold worldwide, representing a 40 percent increase over 1986.
