This edition of Les Secondes Oeuvres follows that of Les Oeuvres (TLF, 428, 1993) of the Dames des Roches of Poitiers. They may be well known because of the incident of the notorious 'puce' but, as Anne Larsen said in her opening remarks to Les Oeuvres, 'ce n'est en effet que recemment qu'elles ont beneficie d'une attention particuliere quant a leur statut d'auteurs' (p. 9).
