Of Paul Michael Lutzeler's vast erudition and extraordinary productivity there can be no doubt, and Klio oder Kalliope? provides ample proof of both. Whilst the title might lead one to assume that this book is a continuation of Lutzeler's work on the historical novel in Zeitgeschichte in Geschichten der Zeit (Bonn: Bouvier, 1988), it is in fact a heterogeneous collection of articles first published between 1986 and 1993.
