Teachers' values are known to affect the learning environment (Pajares, 1992). Preservice teacher education may be a critical period for exploring values (Feiman-Nemser and Buchmann, 1989), and case methods is one pedagogical tool by which preservice teachers can address value dilemmas (Harrington and Garrison, 1992). The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of case methods on preservice teachers' value orientations.
