LOUIS R. SOMERS, KELLOGG EXECUTIVE, TO RETIRE

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis R. Somers, senior vice president-finance, has announced his retirement from Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) effective Jan. 31, 1988, after 32 years of service.

Effective Feb. 1, 1988, John R. Hinton is promoted to vice president-finance and Jay W. Shreiner is promoted to treasurer of Kellogg Company.

Somers' career has included many leadership positions in Kellogg Company's financial operations worldwide. He joined Kellogg in 1955, holding various accounting positions before he was named chief accountant in 1959. He became controller of Kellogg ...
