Misonix, Inc., Farmingdale, N.Y.,(NASDAQ: MSON) and Sonora Medical Systems, (Sonora), have received FDA 510(k) clearance of the revolutionary 3-D Surface Rendering Accessory for Diagnostic Ultrasound Systems known as BabyFace. The BabyFace unit, co-developed by Sonora and Biomedicom of Israel, a recent spin-off of Silicon Graphics Inc., is a plug-and-play, on-line real-time device that can turn virtually any standard existing ultrasound device into a 3-D imaging system making it possible for a physician to view a fetus in full 3-D aspect.
