KOBE STEEL ANNOUNCES COPPER TUBING PLANT IN N.C.
RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Kobe Steel, Ltd. and Halstead Industries, Inc. have established a new joint venture company to make inner-grooved copper tubing in Pine Hall, North Carolina, North Carolina Governor Jim Martin announced today. The new company, which will be known as Kobe Copper Products, Inc., is expected to initally invest approximately $6 million in the new facility and eventually employ as many as 50 people.
