No more victims or hard-done-by mums - that was the promise actress Lesley Dunlop made to herself last year about her future roles, and her hopes have come true with the role of a warm, caring nurse in the new series of Where the Heart Is.
'Over the past few years I seem to have specialised in playing miserable moaners and downtrodden wives,' says 44-year-old Lesley, probably still best known to viewers as the divorcee Zoe in the BBC's hugely-popular sitcom From May to December.
