Students at Betsy Ross School recently got the cold facts about Antarctica.
Scientist Paul Sipiera talked to Ross teacher Lee Magno's first- and second-grade students about his experiences in Antarctica.
Sipiera had two shows, bringing slides and brought two meteors the students could touch.
"It was way cool," student Will Tixley said. "It ruled."
Sipiera described how penguins sit on eggs, the behavior of elephant seals and what real icebergs were like.
"He talked about how penguins followed him around on the beach," student Sam O'Neil said.
