Spring is finally here, heralding Earth Week.
In conjunction with the DuPage Clean and Beautiful Adopt-A- Highway program, Heritage Lakes Elementary School in Carol Stream invited other Carol Stream Elementary District 93 schools to clean up Community Park and the surrounding wooded area near Thornhill Drive and Schmale Road from 8 a.m. to noon April 15.
This area has been neglected since the last cleaning nearly five years ago, which came about through the combined efforts of the Carol Stream and Wheaton Rotary clubs.
