Grayslake students are out to save lives.

Grayslake Community High School's Student Council is sponsoring its annual blood drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. The drive will take place in conjunction with LifeSource, a Glenview-based not- for-profit blood services organization.

"It's imperative for people to donate, because it could save someone's life. Besides, you never know when you'll be in a position to need it yourself," said student council President Joe Kupfer, a senior .

The student council is looking to follow up on the success of last year's drive with this year's effort. Last spring, almost 100 GCHS students donated blood, the second-highest amount out ...
