Anesta Corp.(Nasdaq: NSTA) reported a net loss for the quarter ended March 31, 2000 of $2,818,133, or $0.21 a share, compared to $2,889,635, or $0.22 a share for the quarter ended March 31, 1999. The decrease in net loss resulted primarily from increased product sales and licensing revenues.

Revenue for the quarter was $1,329,581, compared to $205,236 for the same period a year ago. Product sales and royalties were $934,023, compared to $34,088 for the same period a year ago.

At March 31, 2000, Anesta had cash, cash equivalents, marketable securities and a certificate of deposit totaling $65,054,251.
