JDS Uniphase Corporation (Nasdaq: JDSU; Toronto: JDU) today completed its previously announced acquisition of Cronos Integrated Microsystems, Inc., based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. JDS Uniphase issued 6,251,47 shares of common stock in the transaction.

Cronos Integrated Microsystems, Inc. is a leading provider of MEMS components and component technology to the fiberoptic communications market.
