Just in time to help all those who made New Year's resolutions to lose weight and live healthily ever after, Gwen Shamblin has written a new book, "Rise Above."
She'll be talking about her new book, signing it and greeting readers Tuesday at John's Christian Bookstore in Carol Stream.
This is the second book about Christ-centered weight control the resident of Nashville, Tenn., has written. In 1997, Shamblin wrote "Weigh Down Diet" when she was a registered dietitian with extensive experience in nutrition and an instructor at Memphis State University.
