There's nothing more enlightening for schoolchildren than to see their teachers let their hair down, so to speak, outside the classroom.
Teachers from Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 plan to do just that Friday night, on stage no less.
This group of versatile teachers will collaborate on an evening built around the Civil War era. The evening is meant as family entertainment filled with storytelling and music, including a sing- along of classic folk songs.
Such old time favorites as "Shenandoah," "Swing Low Sweet Chariot," and "They Call the Wind Maria," are just a few of the familiar tunes that will stir the audience. Throw in the ...
