The Elgin Choral Union believes in the old saying "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."
So, the group voted to keep many of the major details of the upcoming annual dinner dance and auction identical to last year's event.
The choral union's big bash at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Elgin will be called simply, "And the Beat Goes On ... Again."
"It's almost a repeat of last year, because so many people enjoyed the swing band," said event co-chairwoman Lorraine Gornick.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, choral union supporters and music lovers can dance the night away and maybe even go home with a spectacular prize from the vocal or silent ...
