Apr. 26--FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va.--All four men who want to be elected as Fayette County commissioner bring with them backgrounds in small business.
Gene Carte is the incumbent commissioner and is seeking his third term. He faces two other Democrats in the May primary. Carte leased his family business this year, but his father started the Burger Carte in Smithers in 1963.
In addition to taking care of the family business, Carte, 54, has been practicing law since 1970.
