The center of the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) business is rapidly moving from the Pacific Basin to the Atlantic Basin, where the two hottest markets are the US and the Iberian Peninsula, said Gordon Shearer, president of Cabot LNG.
The Middle East and Africa are the fastest growing supply sources, and they are half a world away from the traditional LNG producers in Southeast Asia and Australia, Shearer said this week at Zeus Development's "LNG in the Atlantic Basin" conference.
