US Airways reported today that revenue passenger miles for March 2000 were up 2.6 percent compared to March 1999, while available seat miles for the month increased 8.1 percent. The passenger load factor for the month was 70.1 percent, a decrease of 3.7 percentage points compared to March 1999.
Data for the month also indicate a clear impact from the potential of a service disruption on March 25. From March 1 through March 24, revenue passenger miles system-wide were up 6.2 percent as compared to the same period in March 1999 and the load factor was 73.0 percent, down 1.2 percentage points.
