Article: Michigan Restaurant Association Applauds State Legislature In Passing Improved Food Code.

LANSING, Mich., April 6 /PRNewswire/ --

The Michigan State Senate passed a new and improved state Food Code today which should result in better inspections and safer food for the public, according to officials from the Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA).

The legislation will now move back to the state House of Representatives for concurrence before heading to Governor Engler's office for his signature. MRA officials expect the Food Code to be implemented by late fall.
