A new report by a panel of the National Academy of Sciences confirms that natural Vitamin E, made from soybeans, is preferable to synthetic Vitamin E which is usually made from petroleum products.
The nutrition report, issued by a group headed by Norman L. Krinsky of Tufts University in Boston, said synthetic Vitamin E is only half as active as natural Vitamin E.
Recommendations to increase the RDA, or recommended dietary amount, of Vitamin E daily were made by the panel, the Institute of Medicine, for at least l5 milligrams a day, compared to the previous level of l0 milligrams daily made more than a ...
