As Naperville library and park district officials try to focus on a plan for a joint facility on the city's south side, visions continue to expand and change.
During a joint committee meeting Tuesday for members of both boards, park district officials said they now favor breaking ground alongside the library next spring to start constructing their own building, which could measure up to 75,000 square feet.
The building would be built in phases, park district officials say, with the first 20,000 to 30,000 square feet set aside for preschool and gymnastics programs.
