Capitalizing on earlier success with half-gallon spouted gable-top cartons for its juice beverages, Johanna Foods Inc. has introduced pint- and quart-sizes of Spout-Pak cartons from International Paper for its Tree Ripe juices line.
Johanna Foods began offering Tree Ripe Premium orange juice in a spouted half-gallon carton in 1998. Melinda Champion, vice president of marketing, explains the company's rationale behind the February launch of pint-size spouted cartons to the eastern U.S.:
