Dignitaries gathered today near the intersection of Mississippi and Cayuga on St. Paul's near east side to symbolically begin construction of a new garage and maintenance facility.

Metropolitan Council Chair Ted Mondale, Metro Transit General Manager Arthur T. Leahy, State Senator Randy Kelly and St. Paul City Councilmember Daniel Bostrom (Ward 6) joined other civic officials in breaking ground on the East Metro Transit Facility, Metro Transit's newest garage in more than a decade.
