Rain showers slowly moving through the Midwest put a blip on the drought's radar screen last week.

Actually, it was more than a blip, as weather radar screens from Minnesota to Texas were covered in green, and measurable spring rain was falling much to the delight of producers. Only time will tell, though, if rain will come often enough and in amounts large enough to put drought concerns out of the minds of producers and speculators.

Also pressuring the markets were lower export inspections reported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture March 20 and disappointing export sales reported March 23.
