Training, Internet Assignments Improve Teachers' Classroom Technology Use.

Teachers with more professional development tend to make more use of computers and the Internet in class assignments, a new study from the National Center for Education Statistic reports.

The study, Teacher Use of Computers and the Internet in Public Schools, found that teachers with 32 hours of professional development in using computers and the Internet in class were more likely to assign problem solving using those tools. Forty one percent of teachers with 32 hours of experience assigned problem solving, as compared to 24 percent of those with one to eight hours of experience and 14 percent of those with zero hours of experience.
