AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
American Trans Air (ATA) has said is to order 30 Boeing aircraft and lease 17 more in an agreement worth an estimated USD2.9 in order to expand its operations in Chicago's Midway Airport.
Under the agreement ATA will buy 10 Boeing 757-300s and 20 Boeing next-generation 737-800s. The airline will also lease 17 737-800s - 12 from International Corp and five from GE Capital Aviation Services.
