OVER 500 HOBBY musicians converged on the village of Rosemont, Illinois, for the second annual "Lowrey Home Organ Holiday" June 15-17. Home Organ Holiday promotes the hobby of making music among adults. Mel Wisniewski, Lowrey's director of sales, commented, "Last year's Home Organ Holiday, our first ever, attracted a group of over 300 hobby musicians, of which over 95% were 50 years of age and above."
Numerous workshops scheduled throughout the two-day event addressed a wide variety of musical themes. Big Band Sounds, Theatre Organ Styling, Combining Musical Sounds, and Playing Waltzes were just a few of the topics presented by Lowrey's staff of artists and ...
